Description

BugCount® Fuel is available for use in single-use packaging for under-wing applications, or as a bulk option for large-scale lab use.

The BugCount® Fuel test kit is based on the measurement of ATP using LuminUltra’s market-leading 2nd Generation ATP® Technology to obtain a rapid and interference-free determination of total microbiological concentration. This kit is designed for the quantification of total bioburden in fuel and fuel-associated waters.

BugCount® Fuel is ASTM D7687 compliant and ATP photometry is a listed method for testing fuel and fuel-associated waters in the latest 6th Edition of the IATA Guidance Material on Microbial Contamination in Aircraft Fuel Tanks Appendix A.

Key features

  • No lab, specialized personnel, equipment or skills are required to run the test
  • Easy-to-follow instructions to measure living biomass via Cellular ATP
  • Results available in just 5 minutes
  • Low Detection Limit of nominally 0.25pg/mL (250 microbial equivalents per mL), although simple test modifications can allow even greater sensitivity
  • All interferences such as organics, colour, residual chemical, and other characteristics inherent to sample matrices are mitigated
